Beacon is Currently Accepting New Clients
We all face stressful and challenging times in our lives. And we can feel disconnected from the people around us. Sometimes we need help to understand our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Anxiety, depression, grief, substance use and family issues are some reasons that one might seek therapy services. Therapy is hard work that requires courage and commitment from clients. Therapy is not easy, but it can help us manage life’s difficulties and make better life choices.
Beacon Counseling and Consulting Services provides mental health therapy services to school aged children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Services are provided both in my office in Killen and via telehealth.
I also provide executive management consultations services for behavioral health organizations, nonprofits, law enforcement, and other community businesses. Program development and grant writing services are available.
I am available for presentations on numerous mental health topics. I am a published author of articles on mental health and relationship issues.

What can I expect from
You can expect some difficult questions and conversations that may open up old wounds or current feelings. But you can also expect to come to understand how your thoughts impact your feelings and behaviors and how you have the ability to change all of these. Therapy can help get you to the life that you deserve.
Do you take Insurance?
Yes, that information is on our Fees and Insurance Page.
What can I expect from the first session?
You may be a little nervous. I will explain the therapy process to you and gather some information from you about your life and the issues that bring you to therapy. The first session is also an opportunity for you to get to ask questions and hear about the approaches I use when working with clients. It’s a chance for you the client to decide if you want to work with me.
